Nemomarin Office Project

Growing companies began to look for new workspaces due to the lack of office capacity. Functional charts were created upon the demands of the company, which is defined as 'service' as a growing office, and to gather all its employees in a single office. The sales departments were separate and were not supposed to hear each other during their phone conversations. Since the open office system does not fit the working order, the spaces are separated from each other by glass partition walls. Together with our employers, who know what they want and love, a masculine style design with an industrial ceiling, far from vibrant colors, anthracite and gray tones has been created.

While initially targeting an office area of 500 m2, as a result of our analysis, it was revealed that they could not fit in this area. It was understood in the alternative plans we drew that the core design of the building was not suitable for using 4/3 of a full floor. Finalizing an ever-increasing volume of functional diagrams was a challenging and time-consuming process. The fact that it is an office floor that receives a lot of sun from all sides has affected the choice of floor, wall and roller blind materials. Capturing the comfortable working environment inside has been a priority design criterion.

The plumbing column of the building, located at the entrance to the office, prevented me from designing the reception area with the symmetry we wanted. Our design team included the existing plumbing column in the entrance design and chose to highlight an asymmetrical reception area with materials that have opposite effects from each other. The idea of creating a lounge area with a sea view reinforced the sense of depth of the welcoming area. The reception area, which is a narrow corridor, has been expanded with a view to the landscape. We find it more efficient than conventional working methods to include the wishes and opinions of the employer in the design process. With a modern and visionary approach, we aimed to create a living office that increases working efficiency by analyzing the project correctly. By combining design and commitment with a 'design-built' approach, we have established a structure that can be progressed with confidence by choosing from technical and design alternatives that the employer can include his idea. Our goal in this project was to make the employer and office workers feel happy in every step they take and the new office space to represent the company identity in the best way possible. I planned to adapt the theme of ships, yachts and sailboats, which are strengthened by the parts imported by the company, and the ability to easily cope with the violent waves of the sea, into the space in the concept of 'one-art one-design'. By incorporating the basic color scale of the project, the architectural sketches I drew on large-scale paintings became a gateway to the outside world, containing movement, life and struggle.

With permeable dividing walls, spaciousness and more daylight savings are provided in the working areas, and continuity can be created in the space. Sound dampening is created in the industrial open ceiling by using ceiling acoustic panels in meeting rooms and work areas. Thus, the listeners in the presentation areas can perceive the sound better and focus better. This office project, in which we have carried out the entire process meticulously and on time, is planned on a 1000 m2 entire floor. In a plaza floor with a floor hall, which we call "Shell & Core", all the details were resolved down to the smallest detail, and the design was started with the approval of the building management. A design approach that breaks the boring and monotonous mood of the plaza working order with the warmth of wooden surfaces and all ambient lighting, and brings the positive energy of daylight inside, has been adopted.

In this project, a balanced and inspiring and motivating atmosphere was created for the employee with the harmony of interior light and materials. In addition, the nautical-themed paintings that I made at the construction site in daylight, depicting the theme of the company I made with acrylic paint, which is the same as the ceiling RAL code, played a complementary role in the interior design spirit. What the employer wanted at the beginning of the project was maximum sound insulation, as there were glass partition walls between the 'Sales' sections. We fulfilled this request by using sound barriers under the raised floor where there are glass partition walls. A good acoustic environment is created in the interior.
